'I really am’ Libera’dicted
(Philippine Tour Review base on my Point of View ^.^)

I’ve been Asking myself... “When will Libera coming back here in the Philippines?”, “Do they even have plans of coming back here?” Loads and loads of questions without answers... But finally, It was late at night before i go to sleep when i found my answer. I opened my facebook account and see the Official Philippine Summer Promo Tour Poster of Libera, Plus… there’s going to be a Meet and Greet again (which i’m really looking forward to because i missed last year m&g). I was smiling from ear to ear after that and i suddenly feel the excitement again. It was hard to sleep that night wondering about it and I realized… “I really am’ Libera’dicted.

Chapter 1: The Frustration

I woke up early in the morning to attend our Graduation Rehearsal (I just graduated last month =p) I opened my FB account before i go to school and found out that the tickets can now be avail at AIM Conference Center at Makati. That’s when the Frustration began. Makati is too far away from our city, and i didn’t know how to go there by myself. When I was at school my classmates asked me if i wanted to come with them to Timbaland/Jojo/Justin T. Concert on Saturday Night but i refused. Coming to the concerts means that i have to spend money ofcourse, but i need the money for Libera. They made me choose… It wasn’t a hard choice really, Those trio are nothing compare to Libera ^.^. That day i finally found a person who knows how to go to AIM and can chaperone me to buy the tickets, but it was too late. We found out that purchasing tickets are in a halt for a while until Sunday due to holy week. I feel frustrated because i really wanted to get us a nice seats for the concert. Monday morning... it was our General graduation Rehearsal but i decided not to attend because i was soooo desperate to buy my tickets already. We went to Makati and Arrive at AIM at exactly 9Am. I think we’re one of the first persons to avail the tickets that morning. We bumped (not literally) into Mr. Joel and Ms. Suzie on our way upstairs and decided to ride the elevator together. We all seated in a descent table, pick our seats and purchased the tickets. After that... i feel much better, now that we got our tickets. I looked at my phone and found out that the teachers are looking for me and asking why i didn’t attend, i just said i’m sick and thats it. Days and Days of waiting... I become active at Libera360, talked to the other members and share some of our Libera Stories and Favorites, and i also made some new friends who are really really nice.

Chapter 2: The Encounter

The day of the Meet and Greet finally came. I woke up earlier than my usual wake up time. We arrive at the podium at 1pm i think. The sounds of Libera welcomed us when we got inside the mall. We went upstairs to the second floor, bought our albums. I pick ‘peace’ because it’s their newest and i already have all the three albums and one dvd anyway. We got our free posters and our number slot, mine is “16”. It was still early, the seats are still empty so we decided to stroll around the mall and munch something. When we came back, the seats are almost full. Good thing there are still some available seats. So we waited and waited and waited... the people can’t stay still, you can clearly see how excited and nervous they are, and all of the sudden.... whoosh. Libera appeared from the escalator on our back. We were all speechless and caught off guard, we just looked and all of our eyes were fixed to them. It felt so unreal. I think 10 seconds have passed before we regain our senses. As far as i remember... people started screaming after that, mostly the girls’ of course. Me? My feet are just bouncing on the ground. We waited for a while... then the first batch of libera was called... Henry, Jonathan, Tiarnan, Liam, Luke, Kavana, Jacob, Daniel, Freddie, Stefan, Alex and Sam. Stabs number 1-20 were called, so we formed a line. While i was in the line... i See Henry dancing to the tune of Orinoco flow... that actually helps me calm down. Seeing them enjoying and being like a normal kid, it was a sight that I’ll never forget. So i went to the stage and Henry and Jon Gave me a warm sincere ‘Hello’ and i said ‘Hi Henry, Hi Jon’ and i handed them my poster and peace album. Then Henry offer his hand for a handshake. While Jon is signing, Tiarnan and Liam are already done signing my poster. They said hello to me and offer to shake hands. Then came to Luke, He’s new so i made an effort to talk to him so he could feel how welcome he is here in Pines. Then I looked at Kavana but before i even said ‘hi’ he’s already offering his hand for a handshake. I said ‘hi kavana’, giggled and thank him. That’s what i like about Kavana, He is very friendly and talkative. No wonder he’s one of my favorite. So it all went that way. I also pose for a picture with Stefan. Then came to Alex and Sam, I actually humiliate myself in front of those two, because i forgot Alex name. I was like... ‘Hey Sam, Hi... Uhm... Uh... Umm.” They were actually smiling and treating it as game for me to remember Alex name. I said... ‘I forgot’ they were still waiting for me to remember it, then 5 seconds later (i think) I finally remember Alex name and i said... “Alex! Heheh. I remember now. Sorry” The two of them laugh and i thanked them and shook their hands. So... that’s the end of the first Batch. When the second batch of Libera came, I panicked. I panicked because almost all of my favorite members were there and i badly wanted a picture with every single of them. But the host tell us to hurry up because many people are still waiting for their turn. So the second batch was totally a blur to me. It went really fast, but i do remember posing a picture with Mini James, Mini Ben, Alfie and Ralph. I don’t remember what i said to Ralph but i do remember that i make him giggle. So when it was all done... Mini Ben made a speech of how the concert will be a SMASHING one. That day... i had a lot of fun specially when i finally meet some of the Libera360 Members and also i had a chance to pose a pic with Callum and He signed my ‘New Dawn’ album. But No Ben Crawley, He seems to be very busy that day taking pictures and videos. So i decided to just do it on The Showcase.

Chapter 3: The Showcase

The Day that we all been waiting for... The Showcase Performance. I’m really glad because we’re both watching Matinee and Gala show. Orchestra D7 left at matinee and Orchestra B7 center at Gala. We went to Makati before 12PM to avoid the traffic and to make sure that we will all arrive on time. We ate Lunch at the Glorieta Mall... the closest mall to the RCBC Plaza. We arrived at RCBC Plaza a few minutes before the show started. We went to the 4th level and i noticed that… there’s a lot of people out there waiting, and it really scares me. Lol! I thought were already late, false alarm good thing we’re not. We went inside the Carlos P. Romulo auditorium and find our seats. We’re 3rd row from the stage at the Matinee Show so it was a good seat.

When the show began, it started with the Anthem of United Kingdom... then Philippines. Mr. Robert Ocampo walk to the center of the stage and made a speech about how Libera are very Fond to the Philippines and to the fans, as a proof they came back in just six months after their Sold Out Concerts here in the Philippines last year and then he thanked the sponsors and fans.

The lights dim out. Stefan walk and stand to the center block of the stage and sang a few lines from the song “Libera” in Acapella. ‘Are you the friend I cannot see? Are you the one who cares for me? Are you my hope of liberty? Are you the door, are you the key?’ and then came the hair raising ‘Aaaaa....’ then the other members appeared and sang the “Adoramus”. It was a really nice Opening song. The mash up of “Libera” and “Adoramus” is really really good. I really think they should do a record of that on their next albums, that would be great.

The songs that followed are:

Time – Josh did the Solo while Ben stand on the upper block and sang his parts.

Sanctus – I was really looking forward to Fiona’s Part here but Steven did it with his clarinet. He did an amazing Job but... I miss Fiona!

Sanctissima – Ben did the solo of course, I dunno how to describe it but it was great.

Exsultate – I enjoyed this performance a lot, specially their movements in this song.

Deep Peace – In this performance i realize how Amazing and Talented Stefan is.

Orinoco Flow – People love this performance. At the Gala show people cheered when they hear the familiar opening of the song. This is one of my favorite performances

The Fountain – I love this song and i’m glad it was included and Ralph... he’s amazing you can clearly identify his own voice because he have a different kind of style. He’s one of my favorite.

Love and Mercy – This is the cutest performance ever. People are like... ‘aw... so cute’. This part is where i focused all my attention to all the members one by one.

How Shall I Sing That Majesty – After this hair raising performance people asked for More.

Bayan Ko (encore) - Honestly, i was already expecting this, but it still gave me Goosebumps. I also noticed Cassius and Luke in this, because they didn’t fully know the lyrics yet, Specially Cassius. It was really cute because you can see them trying and i give them credit for that.

There’s a speech after some of their performance. After they sang Adoramus/Libera, Josh made a speech of how glad they are that they’re back again here in the Philippines. He then thanked the people who support them, the fans and he then introduce their next song which is ‘Time’. The next speech was made by Sammy after they perform Sanctissima. Sammy explain how they just can’t copy the person beside them when they are performing. The Big people help the little People and how the really big people who used to be in their position helps them too. He then said that it’s a great system and it really works. The third speech was made by Freddie after their Orinoco Flow performance. He told to everyone that among the nice places that mentioned in the song, Only Cebu is the place they’re been to. He then said that they really enjoyed the ocean and swimming with the nice beautiful fish. Then the next thing that he said made as crack out loud. He said, Liam was stung by a jellyfish, and he said we shouldn’t worry because Liam got better and the Jellyfish said Sorry. It was so funny how he said it. The next and final speech was made by Mini Ben after love and mercy. I think it was the funniest and most likeable speech of the night because, Ben accidentally forgot the title of their next and last song which is “How Shall I Sing That Majesty”. Also Ben tried to thank us by saying it in our language. He said… ‘Maraming, maraming salamat’ which means ‘Thank you, thank you so much’. But while he’s saying those words, the mic suddenly cut off. It went back in just a seconds but I think the situation was really funny to him because after that he can’t contain himself and he just keep smiling. At the Gala Show he said something that makes us all so giddy and exited that night and until now I’m still exited. He told us that they’re coming back here in the Philippines Soon. Hmmm… I think this October would be a good month to come back here in the Philippines and finally have a full concert right guys? (wink wink) ^.^

After the Matinee show we went outside to form a line for another autograph signing. It went really fast, we understand because we know that the kids are in a hurry and they need to leave soon so we decided to just participate and cooperate. When the signing was over we stroll around the RCBC and eat dinner while we were waiting for the Gala Show to start. After the Gala show, another autograph signing was held. I participated again and decided to thank them all and talk to them because this is the last chance. I shake all of their hands, talked to all of them. Some of the members remember me from the morning show. Ralph was like... ‘You were here this morning right” and i said ‘Yeah... Btw, i really liked “The Fountain” a lot. He giggled, shakes my hand and said ‘Thank you very much’.

We decided to wait until they left the RCBC Plaza... Most of the Libera360 Members was there waiting. While we were waiting we decided to pose a picture together. The waiting is definitely worth it. When Libera appeared holding their things and robes, some gave us a handshake and some a high five. I think it was Luke or Flynn who gave me a loud high five and after that they left. I think that’s it.

Q: Is there a Difference between the Matinee and Gala Show?
A: Yes... not much, mostly from the speeches. In Gala Ben told the audience that they’re coming back here in the Philippines Soon, he didn’t say that at the matinee show. The audience is much livelier and active at the gala show. In my theory... i think it’s because of the atmosphere and the cosmic energy that revolves around us. The atmosphere at day and the atmosphere at night are different that makes people moods change sometimes. (nerd me) ^.^

Q: Did i fulfill my mission that night?
A: Yes, i did. I finally have a picture with Big Ben which is now my primary photo on my Facebook and he also sign my albums. I made him sign besides the lyrics of “Touch the Sky”. I also talked to all of the members of Libera and shake their hands. I guess my mission that night is complete. Though... I really wanted to have a photo with each member. But I only got a few.

Q: Now what?
A: I guess i’m back to basics again... asking those two questions. “When will Libera coming back here in the Philippines?”, “Do they even have plans of coming back here?” Loads and loads of questions without answers... But one of the question has been answered already By Mini Ben himself in his speech. They are indeed coming back again and soon. That’s what he said. So now there’s only one question left. ‘When?’ Sigh... I missed them already. I really am’ Libera’dicted. ^.^
